Six types of parent involvement:
Learning at home
Collaborating with the community
Anoka-Hennepin Schools' Partnership Schools
Five Anoka-Hennepin schools have committed to partnership goals and related activities:
These goals are reached using parent involvement in different ways to support their schools' goals. A team of parents, staff and community members designs a plan to meet these goals and oversees its implementation. Some of these schools have just recently begun their partnership.
The National Network of Partnership Schools has recognized several Anoka-Hennepin Schools for their best practices in parent involvement efforts. The Roosevelt Middle School parent partnership team has received national recognition for best practices in parent involvement. Other schools receiving past recognition include Morris Bye (2006), Riverview (2006) and Lincoln (2007).
