Our history

In 1965, Roosevelt opened as a junior high school serving students in grades seven, eight and nine. As a part of school district reorganization in 1992 Roosevelt became a middle school serving grades six, seven and eight.

This year, Roosevelt (RMS) has about 68 teachers, counselors, special service staff, and principals; and 42 cooks, custodians, secretaries, and paraprofessionals serving 1,150 students. These students live in the communities of Blaine, Ham Lake, Andover and Coon Rapids. Most of our students will attend Blaine High School when they enter ninth grade.
