Welcome to the Insurance Department

Our purpose

The Insurance department administers all employee benefits: health and hospitalization, dental, group term life, long term disability, health care and dependent care spending accounts, supplemental term life, worker's compensation, 403(b), sick leave and retirement benefits. 

Anoka-Hennepin employs approximately 8,000 employees.
 

Insurance Annual Open Enrollment and Flexible Benefit Information 2017-2018

Anoka-Hennepin Insurance Annual Open Enrollment is May 30 through June 15, 2017.  Changes made during the Annual Open Enrollment will take effect September 1, 2017.

Open enrollment brochures will be delivered to your buildings the week of May 30th.  Highlights for the upcoming insurance year will be on the front page of the brochure. We have informational meetings set for the following dates and times:

June 6, 2017                  12:00 pm                 ESC- Erling Johnson A & B

June 6, 2017                  4:00 pm                   ESC- Erling Johnson A & B

June 7, 2017                  5:00 pm                   ESC- Erling Johnson C & D

June 14, 2017                4:30 pm                   ESC- Erling Johnson A & B

Open Enrollment is the time for insurance benefit eligible employees to enroll or make changes to their insurance benefits. To make open enrollment changes to your health and/or dental insurance or to elect salary reduction toward the Flexible Benefit Spending Accounts, log on to our electronic enrollment system smartben.com.
