Fit for the Future meetings wrapped up; board to review feedback
Anoka-Hennepin’s School Board held five community meetings in May — one at each high school — to gather feedback from the community before moving forward with final plans to make the district Fit for the Future.
Hundreds of community members from across the district participated in person and online, sharing their thoughts and asking questions about the board’s intention to ask voters for funding to address facility issues this election season to remove portable classrooms to increase safety, create appropriately-sized facilities, and provide flexibility for today’s classroom needs.
Over the next few weeks, the School Board will review the feedback, finalize details and plans, and then share that information later in the summer. The district will also be holding another round of community meetings in September to share final plans and answer questions.
