Anoka-Hennepin names Hope Rugemalira assistant director of student services
Anoka-Hennepin has named Hope Rugemalira as the new assistant director of student services.
Rugemalira was most recently the guidance department chair for the Beaufort County School District in Beaufort, South Carolina, a position she has held for three years.
Her previous positions include academic transition coordinator for the University of Texas Charter School in Austin, Texas, and guidance director for the Lexington-Richland School District in Irmo, South Carolina.
Rugemalira has also been a guidance counselor for the Palm Springs Unified School District in California, Cumberland County Public Schools in Virginia and the Minneapolis school district. She was also a teacher for St. Paul Public Schools and Detroit public schools.
Rugemalira began her new position on April 3. She’ll work at the Educational Service Center in Anoka.
