Welcome to Ms. Howard's Website
I have been teaching in the Anoka-Hennepin school district since graduating from UW-Stout with a Bachelor of Science-Family and Consumer Sciences Education in 2008. I have taught both 7th and 8th grade Family and Consumer Sciences (FACS) classes. I graduated with a Master of Arts-Family Life Education from Concordia University-Saint Paul in 2012.
I love teaching 21st century skills to this fun age group. We learn and practice technical reading skills while learning to sew and following recipes in cooking. We learn about making wise consumer decisions, and how to take care of children. We apply the skills students learn in their other classes to real-life situations. Students work together in groups, and learn about what it means to be a team-player in class. When I'm not teaching, I love sewing, reading, and having fun outside with my husband and son.
Thank you for supporting your student's education! I am excited to work with your child and watch their growth. Together we can help your child achieve success!
