• Structures of Life

    Unit: Structures of Life: Students observe, compare, categorize and care for plant and animal organisms. They will learn how to identify properties of plants and animals and to sort and group organisms on the basis of observable properties. Students investigate structures of the organisms and learn how some of the structures function in growth and survival.
    What families can do at home to help:
    • Observe all the parts of the habitat of a nearby pond or stream.
    • Compare the habitats of different organisms.
    • Visit Springbrook Nature Center, Bell Museum, Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, Como or Minnesota Zoo.
