Jackson Middle School Reading Strategies Syllabus
In reading class, we will work on using reading strategies to enhance understanding of what you read. You should be able to take the strategies you learn here and apply them in other classes.
Expectations: Bring materials every day, work hard, have a positive attitude, and read at home. It is a school expectation that all students are reading at least 20 minutes each night.
CSAs: Fall, winter and spring. Testing on: sounding out words, vocabulary (word parts) and comprehension.
Materials: A book, pencil, notebook, and folder.
Grading: You will be graded on formative and summative assessments.
