    Tardies – you will be held accountable to the Andover High School’s policies

    Working outside of the school day see your teacher for availability.

    Cell Phones: Cell Phones are not allowed out in class and are to be kept in backpacks during class, no exceptions.

     

    TECH. ED. GRADING POLICIES

    A – 100% - 90%

    B – 89% - 80%

    C – 79% - 70%

    D – 69% - 60%

    F – 59% or below

    Grades will consist of tests, quizzes, activities, assignments, project progress evaluations.

    Grading Breakdown:

    10% Assignments & Tests

    30% Formative Assessments  (District Project Evaluation Rubric)

    60% Common Summative Assessment (District Project Evaluation Rubric)

    Out of Class Work

    Most assignments will be completed in class. Therefore attendance is a must!!!!

    Course Description:

    This course is designed to give the students basic skills and knowledge of woodworking. Students will develop skills through hands on experiences. An understanding of operations, equipment, and techniques used in woodworking will be learned through lectures, demonstrations, and hands on experiences.

    Course Content:

    The course will cover the following areas: Safety, equipment, materials, and techniques used in woodworking. The student will complete two projects which will require use of many different machines in the shop.

    Course Outcomes:

    Upon completion students will be able to safely perform multiple operations using various pieces of equipment in the shop.

    Upon completion students will be able to demonstrate an understanding of various finishes for wood projects by finishing their projects.

    Upon completion students will be able to follow a set of plans to make a project.
