• I am thrilled that the Anoka Hennepin district now has Kindergarten specialist classes.  I see these students once a week for 30 minutes.  This will serve as an introduction to music so they are ready for the more rigorous first grade materials.

The major outcomes will be keeping a steady beat, pitch matching, understanding form, and the differentiation of loud and soft, fast and slow, high and low.

    Rhythm:
Walk and jogging exploration to prepare for first grade introduction of quarter and eighth notes

    Melody:
Vocal exploration of the four voice qualities- talking, whispering, singing, and shouting
Preparing the minor third (Sol - Mi)
