Hi, my name is Jennie Cook. I am the Setting III EBD instructor at Anoka Middle School for the Arts. I have my Bachelor's of Science degree in Early Childhood Education and my Master's of Arts degree in Special Education with a specialty in Emotional and Behavioral Disorders (EBD). I have a beautiful and blended family with 4 children, ages 24, 21, 11, and 7, and three grandchildren, ages 7, 5, and 2. Our 7 year old grandson lives with us full time. Having two 7-year old boys is definitely interesting!
I love what I do for a living, and my hope is that it shows in my work every day. I take time to form connections with each of my students, and this is very important to me. I often spend the first week or two doing community building activities. This really sets the tone for the school year and helps us to function like a cohesive unit.
My students are in my classroom the majority of the day, but they do attend mainstream connections, social studies, and electives.
If you have any questions for me, feel free to call or email me!
