604.60 Multicultural - Gender Fair Curriculum Policy

MULTICULTURAL/GENDER FAIR CURRICULUM: POLICY

In accordance with the State Board of Education Multicultural/Gender Fair Curriculum Rule 3500.0550 (12/13/88), it is the policy of Anoka-Hennepin Independent School District No. 11 that all students gain an understanding and appreciation of:

1. the cultural diversity of the United States;
2. the historical and contemporary contributions of women and men to society;
3. the historical and contemporary contribution to society by handicapped persons; and
4. the historical and cultural diversity of all races and cultures with special emphasis on Native Americans, Alaskan natives, Asian Pacific Americans, African Americans, and Hispanic Americans.
