2022-23 Above & Beyond Awards recipient: Sarah Lindbo
(03/29/2023) Sarah Lindbo, a second grade teacher at Champlin-Brooklyn Park Academy (CBPA), has been recognized as a 2022-23 Above & Beyond Awards recipient. Her ability to connect with students and families to promote growth in the students and build a positive classroom community is being celebrated through the award.

Parent/guardian input meeting for new principal set for Feb. 21
(02/17/2023) The process for choosing a new Champlin-Brooklyn Park Academy principal is underway and any and all interested parents/guardians are invited to provide input. This position is available following the announcement of Matt Brain as the district’s director of employee services.

(01/09/23) Heidi Kouba has been selected to serve as interim principal Champlin-Brooklyn Park Academy. The position became available when Matt Brain was named the interim director of employee services for the school district.

(03/30/2023) At a ceremony held March 29, 13 outstanding district employees were honored as Anoka-Hennepin School District’s 2022-23 Above & Beyond Award recipients.

District Indian Education program to co-host powwow on April 1
(03/29/2023) Anoka-Hennepin’s Indian Education program will co-host a powwow with Elk River Area Schools, Fridley Public Schools, Roseville Area Schools and St. Michael-Albertville Schools Indian Education programs on Saturday, April 1 at Champlin Park High School.

Two district high school seniors named U.S. Presidential Scholars candidates
(03/25/2023) Eleanor Fredine, Andover High School; and Adhithya Anandaraj, Blaine High School; are two of approximately 5,000 students recognized nationwide.

Universal School Meals program to begin in the fall of 2023
(03/24/2023) Last week, the Minnesota Legislature approved and the Governor signed a bill providing “Universal School Meals,” which means every student may receive one breakfast and one lunch at no cost starting in the fall of 2023. The program will cover one breakfast and one lunch for every student, however ala carte and other meal choices will not be covered.

As a math and science specialty school, students engage in a wide range of STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) opportunities, which provide relevant connections between classes. In 2020, CBPA received an Excellence Award from Magnet Schools of America.
