Hello! My name is Jennifer Evers. I am excited to work with students at CBPA this year in the role of Talent Development Teacher. This is my third year in the Anoka-Hennepin School District and at CBPA. Prior to accepting the role of TD Teacher, I worked with small groups of students in kindergarten through fifth grade as a Supplemental teacher.
I have more than 13 years of teaching experience with students in Kindergarten through Fifth Grade. I received my Bachelors degree in Elementary Education from the University of Wisconsin- River Falls. I completed my Masters in Teaching and Learning from St. Mary's University, and my Kindergarten endorsement at St. Catherine's University. Most of my professional career was spent in the Mounds View School District prior to joining the Anoka-Hennepin School District.
When I am not at CBPA, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. My husband and I like to plan fun family days with our three boys between all of their sports and activities. We also like to travel up north to the family cabin on the Whitefish Chain and to the family farm in southwestern Minnesota. Some of my personal favorites are: reading books, drinking coffee, working on puzzles, and baking with my aspiring junior chef at home.
This year the Anoka-Hennepin School District has changed the framework for Talent Development in elementary schools across the district. I encourage you to learn more information about our program by visiting the Talent Development page that is linked on the left side of this screen.
I am excited to work with our CBPA students this year as they continue to challenge their brains and stretch their thinking in reading and math!
