• Welcome to Ms. Lecy's Classroom Website!

Although this is my first year teaching in the Anoka-Hennepin district, I have been teaching Minnesota Studies in Sartell, MN, for the past three years.  I grew up in Apple Valley, MN, and then attended the College of St. Benedict for my undergraduate studies, where I studied history and education.  Although my historical focus in college was on European history, I quickly learned that I have a passion for Minnesota history, and teaching sixth grade!  I believe there is something special about being able to teach students the history of the state they live in, and sixth grade students put a smile on my face everyday!  I have continued my educational journey through St. Mary's University, where I am currently studying learning design and technology in my master's program (and graduating in December 2017!).  In my spare time, I enjoy coaching high school swimming for Anoka High School, spending time with family and friends, and exploring the Twin Cities area.

Thank you for supporting your student's education!  I look forward to having a great school year together and watching your son or daughter grow as both a student, and a person.
