• Mike Hebert was appointed to the position of Instrumental Music Educator at Blaine High School in 2018. From 2012-2018 he directed the band and orchestra program at DaVinci Academy of Arts and Science (Blaine, MN). He holds a bachelor's degree in Music Education from Northwestern University (St. Paul, MN) and a master's degree in Music Education from Northern State University (Aberdeen, SD).

    Mr. Hebert directs three curricular orchestras, chamber orchestra, and pit orchestra. He directed the Blaine HS Marching Band from 2018-2022 and is an active adjudicator for the Tri-State Judges Association. Notable achievements include a performance at the 2023 MMEA Midwinter Clinic as well as finalist and medalist recognitions at the 2022 Bands of America Iowa Regional.

    Outside of his duties with the Anoka Hennepin School District, Mr. Hebert has served as brass ensemble coordinator and orchestra director for the Bethlehem Baptist Church Orchestra (Arden Hills). He is a proud member of the American String Teachers Association (ASTA), Minnesota String & Orchestra Teachers Association (MNSOTA), and Minnesota Music Educators Association (MMEA).

    Mr. Hebert's passion lies in providing rigorous and emotionally rich music education opportunities for all students. He believes that music education is built for all students and that music and the arts are a core component of a well-developed educational experience. He lives in Andover with his wife Laura and their four children.
