Hello! My name is Kimberly Rashid and this is my first year at CBPA. I am looking forward to being part of such a supportive and involved school community! I started teaching 4th grade in 2016, which was a big age jump from kindergarten where I did my student teaching. I am so excited to teach 2nd grade-- right in the middle! :)

In 2016 I graduated with a Masters in Education from the University of Minnesota where I also attended undergrad. I am originally from Port Washington, Wisconsin (Go Pack Go!), a small town on Lake Michigan. Growing up, I loved school and I loved sports.  I was in just about every sport that was offered. Soccer, basktball and volleyball were always my favorite. I grew up playing school in my mom's classroom and in my basement. School was my favorite place to be and I always loved my teachers. I remember asking for extra text books and materials that were being thrown out so I could use them in my "classroom". I still love to learn and believe that education can take us so many places!

When I am not at school I love to read, travel and spend time with family and friends.

Please feel free to contact me with any feedback, questions, or important information regarding your child. I truly love working with families and believe that communication is integral in the success of a child. We are on the same team, let’s have an amazing year!

    Best,
