My name is Mrs. Alford and I am the Literacy Intervention Teacher at Dayton. I will be working on reading skills with students in kindergarten through fourth grade. Additionally, I will be teaching two Explorations classes each week.
Prior to this position, I was a second grade teacher for many years. I studied elementary education and French at the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, Iowa. After moving to the Twin Cities, I obtained a Master's Degree in teaching from St. Catherine University.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, yoga, playing the piano, and volunteering at a farm sanctuary.
I look forward to working with you this year!
