Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year at Andover Elementary! My name is Miss Koski, and I will be your child’s first grade teacher. I am THRILLED to be working with your child! Our “rockstars” will be busy going on many learning adventures this year.
I am so excited to begin my eighth year teaching with first graders. I have been an Inquiry Specialist, first grade teacher, and fourth grade teacher. First grade is ABSOLUTELY where my heart lies!
I graduated from Winona State University in 2011 with my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education with Emphasis in Early Childhood. I received my Master’s Degree in Education and Educational Technology Certificate from the College of Saint Scholastica in 2016. Currently, I am finishing up post-graduate classes through Colorado State University-Pueblo.
I attended kindergarten through twelfth grade in Anoka-Hennepin schools, and I am so happy to be working in the district that gave me the desire to teach. I hope I can have an affect on your child as my teachers had on me.
In my spare time I enjoy working on projects around my house and playing with my dog, Gerald. I have three nieces that I absolutely love to be with: Madison (17 years old), Grace (7 years old) and Stella (4 years old). My relaxation spot is at my parents’ cabin in northern Minnesota where I can cruise on the pontoon and dominate at yard games.
Welcome to 1AK! Let’s have a fabulous school year!
