Welcome to our Classroom Website!
Hello, my name is Heidi Bahauddin. I'm so excited to be teaching your child this year in Kindergarten! This is my 19th year of teaching in the Anoka-Hennepin school district. I was a district sub for my first year and for fourteen years I taught at Evergreen Park World Cultures Community School. While at Evergreen I taught ESL in K-5th grade for three years, 1st grade for three years, and Kindergarten for eight years. Three years ago I was thrilled to begin a new adventure here at CBPA in 1st grade and two years ago I was super excited to go back to teaching Kindergarten again! Teaching at CBPA has allowed me to get back to my roots of Environmental Studies, which is what I went to college for before becoming a teacher. In the past I've worked at the Bell Museum of Natural History, was a Naturalist at Wargo Nature Center, and was a long-time volunteer at the Raptor Center at the University of Minnesota. I love to share my love of science with my students!
My husband Dan and I have been married for 25 years and we have one twenty-year-old son named Connor. We also share our home with two cats named Cinder and Stone, and our two dogs named Rexy and Skye. I love animals! I don't think there has ever been a time in my life when I haven't had a cat or dog in my home. When we can, my family likes to spend time up in Duluth and Superior where I grew up. In my spare time I love to read, travel, learn and practice photography, and research my family ancestry.
Please feel free to call or e-mail me anytime. I absolutely love to hear from families. We must work as a team. Together we can help your child achieve success! It will be a wonderful Kindergarten school year!
