I have taught English, journalism, and history for 39 years in Anoka-Hennepin. I have coached sports, advised yearbook, Future Educators Club, and National History Day. I received a Bachelors degree in history and English from Bemidji State University; I loved attending college there because of the wonderful outdoors. I earned my Masters in Education at the University of Minnesota. I love to read, swim, golf, and travel. I have facilitated SEED ( Seeking Educational Equity and Diversity) seminars for 24 years with staff so we can learn more about ourselves and others. The goal of SEED is so that teachers can better understand ALL our students and help them to achieve success.
