What is labor relations?
The labor relations and benefits department is responsible for negotiating bargaining unit labor agreements, establishing compensation and benefit policies, administering employee benefits, processing employee grievances, and completing other required reports (pay equity, seniority lists, leave accrual, retirement benefits, workers compensation, and STAR).

Labor relations and benefits negotiates and administers collective bargaining unit agreements, including compensation and benefits for 13 bargaining units and four policy groups. Anoka-Hennepin employs approximately 8,000 employees.
