Length and timing of season:  We start meeting in October. Our Regional Competition is at the end of March/early April. State Competition is in the middle of May.

Cost (if any):  There is no fee for joining our team. We are sponsored by Pentair Corporation. We order pizza for lunch on Saturdays and ask team members to bring their own beverage and contribute $3 each towards pizza. This is not mandatory. You may bring your own lunch if desired. If cost is an issue for you, please do not hesitate to let me know and it will be taken care of. Students pay for their own lunches at the competitions.

Equipment required:  Each team member is required to provide for themselves a black, short sleeve tee shirt with no pocket that will serve as a team tee shirt.

Description:  From October through December, we work on establishing a team and learning the basics of design, electrical, programming and more. At the beginning of January is the kickoff where we learn what the challenge for this year will be. We have six weeks from kickoff to design, build, wire, program and test a robot that will meet the challenge presented. At the end of six weeks, whether we’re done or not, our robot is bagged and locked until the regional competition. Our Regional Competition is at the end of March.
