• Welcome to the Classroom Intervention Team (I-Team) Specialist's Page
My name is Michelle (Shelly) Richardson. I have been with the Anoka-Hennepin School District since 2003 and with Mississippi since 2011. I have a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Minnesota and a master's degree in Emotional/Behavioral Disorders and Specific Learning Disabilities from Bethel University.

As Intervention Specialist at Mississippi, I guide the team of teachers and professionals in discussing students’ strengths and concerns, gathering history and information, and brainstorming interventions and actions to complete plans for student success. When not acting as Intervention Specialist, I also meet with the Child Study Team as the Evaluation Team representative, assess students, and meet with staff and parents regarding the results.

When not with the team, I am at home with my husband and our cat. Our son is in the Army with the 101st Airborne Division. I look forward to sewing, gardening, cabin trips, and time spent with our four-year-old grandson.
