I'm proud to be kicking-off my middle school teaching career as the 6th and 7th grade art teacher at Roosevelt Middle School. This will be my first year at RMS, but my third year teaching in the district. I was previously an elementary art teacher at Oxbow Elementary, Hamilton Elementary, and Champlin-Brooklyn Park Academy.
As an artist, I attempt to foster an atmosphere of exploration and creativity in the classroom; and as an educator, safety and the success of students is a daily priority. Students will learn that making a mistake is not always a point-of-no-return and that revising something can be a liberating experience. "Happy mistakes" are the spice of art.
