Welcome to Mrs. Rowe's Classroom Website!
I am so excited to be teaching at Coon Rapids Middle School. This is my 20th year of teaching. CRMS is a wonderful school with great staff and students, and I am thrilled to be here.
I grew up in Minneapolis and attended Minneapolis Roosevelt High School, and then graduated from Augsburg College with a degree in English Language Arts. I completed my graduate degree at St. Mary’s University of Minnesota in Education and Curriculum, Assessment, and Instruction Design. I completed my Reading License from Augsburg College and decided I wanted to teach middle school level.
My husband Greg and I have two daughters, Kayla and Sophia, and a cat named Lovee.
This year I am teaching 7th grade ELA. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns about your student’s success in class this year. I enjoy the students I work with and look forward to hearing from you to help them have a positive learning experience this year.
Thank you for supporting your student's education! I am excited to work with your child and watch their growth. Together we can help your child achieve success! If you are interested in ordering books from Scholastic to encourage your student to read and to help out our classroom library by earning points, click here to order books. They will be shipped to me at school, and your student will pick them up from my classroom. You can look at books available online or your student can pick up a flyer in my room to view.

POLICIES
Late Work:
Late work will receive no higher than a C and can not be made up for a higher grade.
Retesting:
After an assessment is given, students will have two weeks to formulate and execute a plan with their teacher for retesting.
Process:
- Reflect on why assessment score was not up to standard
- Schedule a time or get directions on how to prepare for the retest
- Fill out a Request to Retest form and turn it into the teacher
Extra Credit: No extra credit will be offered at any time. If a student wants a higher grade, he or she should look at the grades they have already received and work to master the standards we have worked on in class.
