Ms. Skoglund's Art Classroom website
I have been working as in Art Teacher in Anoka-Hennepin School district since 1996 and have had opportunities to traveled to teach art in many buildings, but primarily have been at Univeristy Avenue. In 2013, I was interested in a leadership roles and was hired from 2013-2016 to be a Q-Comp evaluator. I worked with teachers on instructional strategies in the classroom. In May of 2016, I accepted a Teaching and Learning Specialist position for one day a week to mentor new teachers that are beginning their career here in Anoka-Hennepin. This will have me traveling two day a week - Day 3 and Day 4- to work with those teachers.
I like to keep busy and some of the activities that I do outside the school day include: being a swimming pool coordinator for Centennial Pool and have been doing that for the last 22 years, a Boy Scout Assistant Scout Master, Girl Scout leader and religion teacher. With doing all of those activities, I love down time to travel, read and do art.
Thank you for supporting your student's education! I am excited to work with your child and watch their growth. Together we can help your child achieve success!
