Hello!  I am a Core Support Teacher and Literacy Intervention Teacher (LIT) teacher at CBPA. As a Core Support Teacher, I am part of the classroom's specialist rotation througout the week.  We work on different skills that students are learning in the core subjects of reading, math, and science. I teach Core to kindergarten, third grade, fifth grade and 1/2 of the second grade classrooms.  As a LIT, I help support teachers and students with foundational skills and comprehensive skills of reading in a small group setting.

I have been teaching for 21 years and received my Undergraduate at Augsburg College and my Masters Degree at St. Mary's University. I have also taken numerous reading courses at St. Thomas University. I love seeing kids get that sparkle in their eyes when a connection has been made in learning!  The great part of my position is being able to connect with children across the grade levels.  Each stage of learning has it challenges and successes.  It is so fun to see the children grow throughout the year and make new connections- socially, emotionally, and academically.

When I am not at CBPA, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family.  Outside you may find me gardening, hiking with my family, or walking my Shih Tzu, Charlie.  Inside you might catch me baking, playing games with my kids, reading books, or watching HGTV.

Thank you for supporting your child's education!
