Hello! I am a special education teacher here at Andover High School. This is my seventh year teaching at Andover High School and I am thrilled to be able to start another year here! Before coming to Andover High School, I taught for two years in Isanti, MN. I graduated from Minnesota State University -Mankato with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Special Education: Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD). Completed a Master’s Degree in Special Education through Bethel University. Through this, I have obtained Minnesota teaching licenses for Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD), and Applied Behavioral Strategies (ABS).

I am also the advisor for Husky Buddies, a club where special education ASD and DCD students 'hang out' with general education students after school one time a month and foster relationships. I co-advise Student Council at Andover High School working with the students to create fun events for the school community.

The students in my classroom are working on skills to foster independence in their home, school, and community. We work on Math and English skills that we can apply in our community, as well as vocational, domestic, social, emotional skills.
