I am Mary Saxon and I have been teaching at Champlin Park since 1992. I am one of four reading teachers at Champlin Park. I am currently teaching Reading Foundations during Trimester 1. During Trimester 2 and 3 I will be teaching Foundations II and Academic Reading Prep I. I have also taught special education, working with students with learning disabilities.
I have a bachelors and masters degree from St. Cloud State University, but have also taken classes at Century College, St. Thomas, San Diego, and Hamline Universities.
I am currently the girls assistance golf coach at Champlin Park. (If you know any students interested in playing golf, send them my way).
I currently live in Andover, MN with my husband and Maggie our Viszla. Some of my interests include golfing, reading, working out, shopping and traveling.
