Mrs. Steen has been teaching math to seventh grade students for the past 17 years. She earned a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from the College of St. Benedict in 1991 and a middle school endorsement and Master's Degree from Hamline University. She has two adult children and lives in Ham Lake with her husband, Mike. She enjoys reading, gardening and spending time at home with her family.
Intermediate Pre-Algebra is a challenging course. Students are invited to think critically and explore the real-world application of proportional reasoning with rational numbers. Learning in an ongoing process and in this course students are encouraged to problem solve and persevere.
