• Adult Basic Education jobs

    Anoka-Hennepin Community Education partners with eight other community education programs in the north metro to offer free adult basic education (ABE) classes for adults ages 17 and up who are not enrolled in a secondary school program develop basic skills. Together, the community education programs are called "Metro North ABE."  Licensed teachers and trained volunteers are often needed to work with adult students and support them in meeting their educational goals.

    Adult Basic Ed Teacher Substitute:  Sub Teaching for the Metro North Adult Basic Education sites located in Anoka, Blaine, Columbia Heights, and Brooklyn Center.Sub Teaching for the Metro North Adult Basic Education sites located in Anoka, Blaine, Columbia Heights, and Brooklyn Center. Rate of Pay: $18.44 / hour; $20.11/hour for retired/former Anoka-Hennepin ABE teachers, or Anoka-Hennepin ABE Teacher substitutes with more that 200 ABE sub hours with Anoka-Hennepin Schools.  Apply now.
     
     
    Volunteers needed Metro North ABE needs morning/daytime volunteers at multiple locations across the Anoka-Hennepin school district. You can be a part of our student’s success as they work to earn their GED or Diploma. Participate in the personal growth of learners as an ESL tutor or distance learning student counselor!
