Parent/guardian fees fund the Adventures Plus school age child care program, which is coordinated by the Anoka-Hennepin Community Education department. Families are charged fees based upon their child care agreement, not actual attendance. This includes when the child is not in attendance due to illness, personal reasons and inclement weather. The family is responsible for all charges that are incurred, as well as all fees outlined in the Parent Handbook.
Payment is due on the first of each month for the current month. Autopay can be set up by an account owner in your online Eleyo account. Manual payments can also be paid online through your Eleyo account. To pay by cash or money order, you must pay in person at the central billing office.

Fees
- Late Payment Fee
Payment is due on the first of each month, for the current month. Late payments will result in a $25 late fee being added to the account. Failure to pay will result in termination from the Adventures Plus child care program.
When a payment is declined due to non-sufficient funds (NSF), it is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to replace the payment in cash, money order, certified check or credit card upon notification. Failure to do so may result in termination of child care services. NSF checks may require future payments to be made by money order or certified check and may result in a termination of services. - Late pick-up fee
Families must pick-up their child by 6 p.m. If a child is picked up after 6 p.m., families will be assessed a late fee of $5 per child for every 5 minutes or fraction thereof after 6 p.m. The fee will be billed to your account on your next invoice. If families are more than 30 minutes late and staff have not heard from the parent/guardian or successfully reached a person listed on your child's emergency contact form, the police will be contacted for assistance. Continued late pick-up may result in termination of child care services. - Finders fee
A $10 finders fee will be assessed to a family's account if their child's after-school absence is not communicated with A+ site staff at least 30 minutes prior to school dismissal as this results in a search process that takes staff away from the care of children.

Upon registration, the parent/guardian will be asked to list the names of people authorized to pick-up their child. These people must be 16 years of age or older. They will also be asked to show identification when signing children out and must be on the authorized pick-up list in order for children to be released to them. Account owners may add to or revise their authorized pick-up lists at any time by logging on to their Adventures Plus account and making desired changes. Children must be escorted into and out of the care site and signed in and out by an authorized adult or sibling 16 years of age or older. Children cannot be dropped off or picked up at the door.Fobs
All Adventures Plus families will use a fob to gain access to the school building during Adventures Plus program hours before- and after-school. Fobs will work only at the designated security entrances of the school site, which are noted at each school. During school hours, all families must enter through the main door of the school.Medical emergencies
In the event of a medical emergency, staff will take the necessary steps in obtaining care for your child. Staff will administer first-aid as deemed appropriate and the parent/guardian will be informed of the accident/injury and first-aid care applied. If appropriate, the parent/guardian will be asked to pickup the child from the program. If severe medical emergency care is needed by a physician or paramedic, staff will contact 911 immediately and the parent/guardian will be contacted immediately after the 911 call is made. If a parent/guardian cannot be reached, staff will attempt to contact a person listed on the child's emergency contact information. Please make sure that you have listed at least three emergency contacts for your child. In the event that a child needs further medical attention, they will be transported to a medical facility. Adventures Plus reserves the right, with the assistance of paramedics, to determine if the child will be transported by emergency vehicle.Data privacy

Student discipline
In accordance with the Adventures Plus goal of providing a safe, secure and nurturing atmosphere for all children, the program abides by the Anoka-Hennepin School District student discipline policy.Disruptive behavior is defined as verbal or physical activity which may include, but is not limited to, behavior that requires excessive attention from staff, or ignores or disregards the rules which guide behavior during the school day and program time. In order to minimize disruptive or unacceptable behavior, Adventures Plus uses a variety of techniques such as preventative measures, role modeling, redirection, verbal intervention and consequences. The Adventures Plus program has a responsibility to ensure the safety of the individual, other students and staff. The program reserves the right to terminate care immediately should there be a severe act of aggression towards students, staff or property. If a child's behavior materially or substantially violates the rights of others, is substantially disruptive, endangers themselves, other children or staff, or damages school or Adventures Plus property, a suspension of one to five days may be implemented. -
Student illness
If children attend the program with any of the following symptoms, the parent/guardian will be contacted immediately to pick-up the child:
- Temperature registering above 100 degrees. Temperature must be normal (98.6°F) for 24 hours before returning.
- Fever, vomiting, diarrhea, any undiagnosed rash, discharge from eye, ears or profuse nasal discharge, severe cold symptoms.

If a parent is unable to pick-up the sick child within one hour of being contacted, they are expected to contact an authorized person to pick-up the child. In cases where the parent/guardian is unable to be reached, the person listed on the emergency form will be contacted. When isolation of a child due to communicable illness is necessary, the child will rest in a space away from other children until a parent/guardian arrives for pick-up.
Children attending Adventures Plus programs should be healthy enough to engage in all activities. Adventures Plus staff are not trained to make a medical diagnosis but only to observe and inform the parent/guardian of any signs of illness. If staff observe signs of illness, the parent/guardian will be contacted and will need to pick-up their child.
