District Indian Education program offering free language lessons
(01/21/2022) The Anoka-Hennepin Indian Education department is offering free Ojibwe and Dakota language lessons for all students, parents and staff in the district.
The virtual lessons will be held via Google Meet. Attendance is open, but it is preferred that attendees participate in all classes as the lessons will build from week-to-week.
- The Dakota language lessons will be held weekly (Thursdays) from 5:30-6:30 p.m. on Jan. 13 through March 3 and March 24 through April 14. Join the class using Google Meet.
- The Ojibwe language lessons will be held weekly (Thursdays) from 6-7 p.m. on Jan. 26 through March 9 and March 23 through April 20. Join the class using Google Meet.
Anoka-Hennepin Indian Education is also hosting a night of storytelling on Thursday, Feb. 3 at Blaine High School. Learn more about this upcoming event.
