Anoka-Hennepin Fit for the Future construction update
(09/27/18) A groundbreaking ceremony set for Tuesday, Oct. 2 at Coon Rapids High School will mark the official start of the seventh and final Fit for the Future phase one project around the Anoka-Hennepin School District.
Work began earlier this spring on construction and renovation projects at Andover, Anoka and Blaine high schools, as well as construction at two new elementary school sites in Blaine and Ramsey. In August, the School Board approved bids on the Champlin Park and Coon Rapids high school projects, and now those renovations are set to begin in earnest by the first week of October. At Blaine, the cafeteria expansion and classroom addition are underway.
At Champlin Park, construction barriers have been erected, and a groundbreaking ceremony was held Sept. 17.
At Coon Rapids, work to the school’s new front entrance has begun.
