(11/10/2021) Jewell Orsund, a former teacher at Dayton and Champlin Elementary schools, has passed away. She was 89 years old.

A public visitation will be held Thursday, Nov. 11 from 4-6 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 6 p.m. at Thurston-Lindberg Funeral Home located at 2005 Branch Ave. in Anoka. A private interment will be held at Forest Hill Cemetery in Anoka.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Zion Lutheran Church.

Jewell spent 30 years teaching in Anoka-Hennepin, both at Dayton and Champlin elementary schools.
