(07/29/2022) Jill Parent, a former teacher at the district’s COMPASS program, has passed away. She was 56 years old.

A celebration of life will be held Friday, Aug. 12 from 4-6 p.m. at Lion’s Creek Park in Coon Rapids. 

Jill spent 12 years at Anoka-Hennepin, including two years at Anoka Middle School for the Arts followed by 10 years as a teacher at the district’s COMPASS program.

Jill is preceded in death by her parents John and Alma Stepanchak, and her sister Dr. Jane DeGidio. She is survived by numerous family members, friends and students.
