(01/26/2024) Paul Cady, former General Counsel for the district, has passed away after an unexpected diagnosis of leukemia Jan. 21. He was 65 years old. 

Paul served as General Counsel for Anoka-Hennepin for 26 years prior to retirement in 2021 and worked with many administrators and directors during his time with the district. 

He is survived by his sons, Benton (Cherie) and Charles; granddaughter, Charlotte; mother, Ardis Willcox; sister, DeeAnn Cady (Alan Butler); brother, David Cady; nephews, Erik and Ivan; mother in law, Darleen Cornelius; sister-in-law, Peggi (Gino) Monico; niece, Anna; special friend, Katie Bergstrom and other family members and friends.

Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Charlene; father, Benton; stepfather, Robert Willcox; and father-in-law, Charles Cornelius. A memorial service is scheduled Feb. 4 at 4 p.m. with visitation at 3 p.m. at Christ the King Lutheran Church (1660 Birch Lake Ave., White Bear Lake). View Paul’s full obituary.
