Seven district teams represent Minnesota at Destination Imagination Global Finals
(07/03/2024) Anoka-Hennepin sent seven teams to the Destination Imagination Global Finals in Kansas City, Mo. May 22-25 to compete against teams from all over the world.
Teams at each level represented the very best in the world, sharing their best solutions to this year’s challenges in Engineering, Science, Fine Arts, Improvisation and Community Service.
Congratulations to the following teams on a successful Destination Imagination season:
Rum River Elementary - Ancient Dust Rats
Team members: Megan Christensen, Brittan Koosman, Colin Lewandowski, Caelan Shaddi, Rilynn Smith.
Team managers: Krista Wyvell-Fink and Julie Waldock.
Result: Placed 24th in the world in the Elementary Level Improvisation Challenge.
Rum River Elementary - The Excellent Emerald Emus
Team members: Emily Cleary, Noah Cox, Amelia Mattis, Moira Paddock.

Result: Placed 23rd in the world in the Elementary Level Improvisation Challenge.
Rum River Elementary - Crazy Bubble Fish

Result: Placed 30th in the world in the Elementary Level Engineering Challenge.
Madison Elementary - The Space Launchers Crew

Oak View Middle School - The Ever Flaming Crystals

Result: Placed 19th in the world in the Middle Level Engineering Challenge.
Madison Elementary - Thee Candy Nerds

Northdale Middle School - Struck by Creativity
