Anoka-Hennepin will host six Parent Engage 360 events this school year, covering topics such as mental wellness, social media and internet safety, and chemical health. The district hosted a presentation and discussion on mental health Dec. 9 as a follow-up to the documentary “Angst” before offering a screening of the documentary “Like” on Jan. 20. A discussion on chemical health is scheduled for Thursday, April 7.
In partnership with the Mental Wellness Campaign for Anoka County, the district is hosting a sixth event that was recently added to the Parent Engage 360 lineup. “Moving from Surviving to Thriving” with Dr. Cory Martin will be held Tuesday, Feb. 15 at 6:30 p.m. at the Anoka High School auditorium. Martin will discuss how common burnout is and the consequences to our personal wellbeing, the organizations we work with and the people we care for. He shares simple, efficient, scientifically proven techniques to combat and prevent burnout that result in improved health, happiness and relationships.
