Technology expansion and device distribution for kindergarten through grade three

Dear parents/guardians,

As our distance learning plan evolves, Anoka-Hennepin will expand our distance learning plan to an online format for students in kindergarten, first, second, and third grades. Many of you have responded to our survey that you have the technology needed to go online for your student. For those who require a device, please carefully read the following information.

The district will be providing Chromebooks to students in kindergarten, first, second and third grades. The time and date for device distribution is Tuesday, April 7 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. This is for parents/guardians of students in grades first, second and thirds along with kindergarten students only.

9  - 11 a.m. Student last names beginning with A-G

11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Student last names beginning with H-N

1 - 3 p.m. Student last names beginning with O-Z

3 - 4 p.m. Open time for any that missed their timeslot

You’ll need a student identification number to be issued a device. Be assured that the pickup of educational materials is an approved activity for parents/guardians in relation to the state’s “stay at home” order.

When you arrive, simply park, and then please enter the school through the main door to gather materials, and then immediately exit the building. Staff will be present to help ensure social distancing recommendations are followed and to assist as efficiently as possible. Students who already have what they need should not come to school. Please move quickly and efficiently, this is not a time to socialize with friends. Parents, please remind students of this before they come to school.

Parents/guardians who cannot make this distribution time should call the school office at 763-506-2700 to make alternate plans.
