(08/18/2022) Rachel Grillo has been selected for the position of principal of Mississippi Elementary School. The position became available when Nate Manaen was named the director of student services for the school district earlier in July.

Rachel Grillo is an energetic and effective leader with a strong record of success in Anoka-Hennepin Schools. She is currently serving as the assistant principal at Wilson Elementary in Anoka, a position she has held for six years. Grillo also served as interim principal at Hoover Elementary, and as a classroom teacher and instructional coach in the district.

Strong communication with parents and guardians is the goal of the school district during this transition. Opportunities to meet the new principal at the start of the school year will be offered in the coming weeks for school families. Please join us in welcoming new principal Rachel Grillo!
