Fit for the Future construction projects underway
(07/06/2018) Fit for the Future construction projects are underway across the district.
Here's a sneak peek of the walls going up on the cafeteria addition at Blaine High School, the overhang removal in preparation for the entrance renovation at Anoka High School, and the two new elementary schools being created in Blaine and Ramsey (drone footage courtesy of Jorgenson Construction).
The Fit for the Future plan, which was backed by voters last November when the community approved a request for new funding to make the plan happen, will create safe and secure learning environments by removing all portable classrooms across the district, construct additional schools and classroom space, provide solutions for maintaining quality schools at every building in the district, and address class sizes at all levels.
Check out the timeline infographic for details on each construction project. A majority of the projects will be completed over the next four years.
Updates will continue to be shared at ahschools.us/FitForTheFuture.
