5/13/24

Good morning, Anoka Middle School for the Arts students and staff. Today is Monday,

May 13, Day 2 on your schedule.  This is Mr. Hagerty with your morning announcements.

Please stand for the Pledge of Allegiance.

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America

and to the republic for which it stands,

one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

Today for lunch:  Rotini w/ Meatballs

At this time, your hoods should be down, hats and backpacks in your lockers and phones powered down and put away for the school day. You've got just 18 days to finish strong and make an impact on your learning. Think of this not as the end of your 6th, 7th or 8th grade year, but the habits you will have at the start of next year.

Students are reminded that you must be with a parent or guardian to attend school events such as concerts or the Arts Festival this Thursday at 5 pm or any event that takes place on our campuses or at the High School.

Lastly, unfortunately we had some vandalism on our Washington Campus building over the weekend.  The graffiti on the outside of the building has been cleaned up, but it is sad and frustrating that anyone would do that to their school. We have opened an investigation into the situation and are working with the Anoka Police department. If you have any information that would lead to the discovery of the person or persons responsible for this crime, you can contact our main office, our school resource officer or tell your teacher or any administrator and we will keep your name anonymous.  We will find out who did this to your school and hold them responsible. This simply does not reflect on the rest of our student body nor the Anoka family community.

Connections teachers, a reminder to check the intervention list for this morning's intervention time.

No matter who we are, no matter where we are…We are AMSA!
