Today is DEAR day! A lot of us have basketball on the mind right now. What do strong readers and skilled basketball players have in common?
ONE: They practice every day. Reading 20 minutes a day makes a difference in your reading performance.
TWO: Variety. Different drills, like different types of texts improve skills… on the court and in the classroom! Chapter books, nonfiction, graphic novels, even audiobooks are all great choices to up your reading game.
THREE: Coachability. Your teachers are coaches. They are there to guide, give feedback, and help you grow as readers. Listen to your coaches and you’ll go far!
Happy reading and GO Timberwolves!
No matter who we are, no matter where we are…We are AMSA!
