Grading & Calendar Update

Trimester I, Progress II grades were updated and available to view online last Wednesday.  These are not final grades, but reflect how students are doing with about two weeks left in the trimester.  If you have specific questions, please contact the teacher directly. 

A reminder that the trimester ends on Tuesday, Nov. 26.  There is no school Nov. 27 through Dec. 3 due to the Thanksgiving holiday, and teacher grading and planning.  Second trimester starts Wednesday, Dec. 4. 

Veterans Day

Throughout the day on Monday, students will discuss the importance of Veterans Day and why we recognize service and sacrifice.  Many of our social studies classes participated in a letter writing campaign and candy collection for our troops as well – over 100 boxes of candy were packaged and will be delivered to servicemen and women.  Thank you to our students for their generosity and participation!  We will also start our week with a special announcement and moment of silence to reflect upon the contributions of our servicemen and servicewomen – all those who have served, those currently serving and those who paid the ultimate price in service to our country.   Each spring, for the past 24 years, our Oak View tradition has been to hold a formal Memorial Day Assembly, which is focused on, and dedicated to, veterans.  Thank you to our veterans, military personnel and their families for their service and sacrifice.
