InTouch Phone Message: Apr 4
Good afternoon. This is Gary Lundeen, principal at Oak View Middle School.
Happy Friday to the first week of distance learning! Thank you to our teachers and staff for all of their work this week. Also, I want to acknowledge all of our students and parents who have worked so hard on their end with distance learning. Parents, we recognize this new reality includes added stressors during uncertain times as you balance home-life, your own work, and supporting your student(s) with distance learning. Thank you for all you are doing.
Just a few reminders:
- Students should log into their every day course Google Classrooms daily to see what activities or assignments are listed.
- If there are questions regarding specific classes, please reach out to the teachers directly. They are ready to help.
- For technical support, you can call 763.506.HELP or 763.506.8575.
- During the “stay at home” order by Governor Walz, a reminder that secondary schools across our system have limited office hours. Oak View will have an administrator and office staff at Oak View between 10:00am and 2:00pm every day. Please call ahead if you have questions about needing to come to the building.
- If your child is ill and will not be logging into their lessons for the day, please call to report the absence as you would during the school year. Our attendance secretary will be monitoring that line to update our system records.
- Finally, just a calendar reminder. Per our original district calendar, there is no school next Friday, April 10. This means that teachers will not post activities or lessons for that day.
Have a good weekend.
