InTouch Phone Message May 29



Good afternoon.  This is Gary Lundeen, principal at Oak View Middle School.

 

We have organized a system, alphabetically by student last name, to collect and distribute student materials on June 5, 8, and 9 between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm.  These days will afford us the opportunity to collect Chromebooks and chargers, library books, textbooks, instruments and other classroom books or supplies.  In addition to collecting these items, we plan to distribute yearbooks and make available all other student materials, including PE locker items, Art projects, Tech Ed projects, FaCS fabric, and a variety of classroom binders or notebooks.  Our intention is to collect the items we need to collect and make available any / all materials that you wish to collect – all while adhering to social distancing and safety recommendations.  Each family has different expectations with regard to what they want to pick up, so our plan is to make everything available, and you decide what is best for you to collect on your assigned day.  Some may come in and drop off an item or two, collect your yearbook and leave for the summer.  Others will drop off materials, grab the yearbook and collect an Art project, PE items and binders.  Both are okay – and completely dependent upon your comfort level.

 

Please make every effort to come during your assigned date and time to help ensure the health, safety and social distancing requirement for staff and students.  As students will be more familiar with their PE lockers, Art, Tech Ed projects, etc., and to limit the number of bodies in the building at any given time, we encourage only students to enter the building.  We will provide bags if students are collecting multiple items.   

 

For the safety of all staff and students, it is encouraged that anyone entering the building wear a covering or mask over their mouth and nose and wash their hands prior to coming to school.  If you are feeling ill, such as a cough, shortness of breath, or a fever above 100 degrees, please do not come to the school.  For those who are feeling ill, please call us, and we’ll schedule a later time for you to drop off and/or collect materials.

D:  11:00 to Noon              

E:  12:00 to 12:30 pm             

F:  12:30 to 1:30 pm              

G:  1:30 to 2:30 pm

H:  2:30 to 4:00 pm



Monday, June 8

I & J:  8:00 to 9:30 am

K:  9:30 to 10:30 am

L:  10:30 to Noon

M:  12:00 to 2:30 pm

N:  2:30 to 3:30 pm

O:  3:30 to 4:00 pm

 

Tuesday, June 9

P & Q:  8:00 to 9:00 am

R:  9:00 to 10:00 am

S:  10:00 am to 1:00 pm

T:  1:00 to 1:30 pm

U & V:  1:30 to 2:00 pm

W, X, Y, Z:  2:00 to 4:00 pm
