Anoka-Hennepin Regional High School graduates celebrate with diplomas

Grads pose for photo(06/02/2022) Proud family and friends celebrated the accomplishments of the 33 newest Anoka-Regional High School (AHRHS) graduates during an on-campus outdoor commencement ceremony held Wednesday, June 1.

The commencement ceremony featured opportunities for student leadership. Graduating seniors Ella Peters and Jerry Alexander provided speeches reflecting on their education, and Jason Paivey provided a special welcome greeting. School Board members Kacy Deschene, Erin Heers-McArdle and Nicole Hayes joined Superintendent David Law and associate superintendent for secondary schools, Dr. Josh Delich, in congratulating the students on their accomplishments.

It was the final graduation ceremony for Principal Nancy Chave, who is retiring at the end of the school year. Current AHRHS Assistant Principal Heather Forse will serve as principal starting next year.

Located in Coon Rapids and serving the entire district, AHRHS provides a smaller high school setting and personalized instruction to guide students toward graduation.

QCTV - Quad Cities Community Television live streamed the ceremony and offers replays on cable television and on-demand streaming on youtube.com/qctv or their website at: www.qctv.org. View photos from the event.
