Six teams represent district and state at 2025 Destination Imagination Global Finals
(06/16/2025) Anoka-Hennepin sent six teams to the Destination Imagination Global Finals in Kansas City, Mo., May 22-25 to compete against teams from all over the world.
Teams at each level represented the very best in the world, sharing their best solutions to this year’s challenges in Engineering, Technology, Science, Fine Arts, Improvisation and Community Service.
Congratulations to the following teams on a successful Destination Imagination season:
Secondary Level
Blaine High School team members: Garrett Bower, Andrew Francis, Ryan Cullen, Karston Furness.
Result: Community Service - Placed 7th in the world.
Middle Level
Oak View Middle School team members: Richard Frovik, Anas Aqel, Caelan Shaddi, Rilynn Smith, Harlon Richards, Colin Lewandowski.
Result: Improvisation - Placed 24th in the world.
Elementary Level
Rum River Elementary team members: Rashmika Nepal, Essie Sikora, Natalie Clark, Ashten Beyah, Jacob Ball, Lyndi Payeur, Moira Paddock.
Result: Engineering - Placed 21st in the world.
Rum River Elementary team members: Gracie Lewis, Toltu Ibrahim, Norah Quackenbush, Gianna Maki, Sasha Curry, Simone Evers, Claire Osterud.
Result: Scientific - Placed 35th in the world.
Oxbow Creek Elementary team members: Nolan VanderVegt, Emma Tran, Henry McNattin, Athena Hoang, Quyhn Anh Tran, Maris Vaughn.
Result: Improvisation - Placed 15th in the world.
